TEAM TRYOUT INFORMATION AND SCHEDULE

2012 TRYOUT SCHEDULE
 (Updated 21March @6:40pm)

IMPORTANT: Schedules and locations are subject to change.  Please check back at this page through date of session for possible amendments.

TRYOUT QUICK FACTS

To join a team, each interested player must attend at least one of the formal tryout sessions as scheduled below.  Once the final tryout session is concluded, a list of players offered positions will be posted on this page, and only those players accepting the invitation by submitting the required participation fee will be added to the final team roster.  Players initially not offered roster spots will be added to a "wait list" and may join a team later if positions become available or if a completely new team within the same age group is formed.  Please read the "Parent FAQ" for more information about the program.

New for the 2012 season, potential players will be offered spots on either the "club" or "travel" team.  "Club" teams will not travel and play a reduced, local schedule.  "Travel" teams will play a more extensive schedule, occassionally travel and participate (if qualified) in National Championship tournaments.  The "travel" team regular season lasts from March to June, covering 6-8 tournaments and approximately  18+ games, with some teams starting play earlier and participating in more tournaments.  Regional, State, National, Showcase or additional tournaments, food and other miscellaneous and travel expenses are NOT included and subject to extra charges. The "club" team regular season lasts approximately 8 weeks, covering 8-9 games in local gyms with no travel requirements.

Player participation costs for the 2012 season are based on team schedule and amount of equipment purchased, and will be determined once the final roster is formed.  Please contact the Head Coach for more information regarding tentative scheduling.  Cost information will be available during the parent orientation at the tryout session.  Storm teams participate in a number of competitive tournament associations to maximize player opportunities and various abilities.
